Zahara’s body arrives in Eastern Cape

Zahara’s body has been taken back to her home at the province of the Eastern Cape.

A memorial service to celebrate the singer’s life took place on Thursday and her remains have arrived at her family house.

The singer will be buried on December 23 in her village of Phumlani.

According to Zimoja, Zahara’s mother flew from the Eastern Cape to come and identify her before she could be flown to her ancestral home. Her family members also got a chance to view her body ahead of her funeral next weekend.

It was reported that family members broke down in tears and were left distraught upon the arrival of her body.

Zahara died in a private Johannesburg hospital after weeks of battling liver complications.

She took her last breath with family and her fiance by her bedside.
